Family Emergency Kit For Social Disruption

As much as we don’t want to accept the idea of preparing for the Coronovirus outbreak in our areas, I think it's important we take the proper precautions. For some time, I have wanted to create an emergency kit to keep in our basement with non-perishable food items just in case there was an emergency of some sort.

Yesterday, I decided it was the time I began to create this “Emergency Kit” that would stretch beyond bandages and flashlights. This kit would include foods and other necessities.

Although it's with immense uncertainty, how this will have an impact on our households, I think it's important we remember, it's always a good idea to “be ready, so you don’t have to get ready.” As my best friend and I began to give the rundown to one another on items we contemplate would be a fine idea to stock up on, I decided this information would be informative to share with other mamas and families too.

Again, this is not solely for the Coronavirus. This is a kit that stays put in your home and is only leveraged in the event you cannot leave your home and all foods that are currently in your house has been exhausted.

When preparing your tool kit, consider one pot meals that can be prepared in an abundance. I do not suggest purchasing foods that are organic because they tend to have expiration dates that are not as lengthy. Additionally, this is not supposed to mimic the higher end foods you may currently buy. This is all about survival and being economic.

I purchased all Items from Aldi and Dollar Tree. While there will always be items you may want to add, it can be done along the way. Below is a fantastic way to jumpstart the process. Keep it simple and don't over think it.
