Welcome to Blogmas! It’s a time when I share something every day this month that is centered around the holiday season. Since Christmas is my favorite holiday, it's only fitting that I jump on this tradition and share with you content that will be helpful for you during this season.
I am kicking off Day 1 with something that we are all struggling with right now, and that’s GIFTS!
The clock struck December 1st and immediately, I felt the pressure! We have about three weeks to get everything squared away, and in between, ugly sweater parties, Christmas parties, ornament, and cookie exchanges, pop-up bars, bar crawls, holiday decorating and holiday theater productions, there seems to not be enough hours in the day.
And Oh, don’t forget…
Christmas light shows, winter concerts at school, breakfast with Santa, holiday high teas, winter wonderlands, The Nutcracker, and the cherry on top…COVID, Flu, RSV, and all the other viruses have decided they want to come and play this season. Maybe I am speaking for myself, but it's looking like an Amazon Prime Christmas with each passing moment, and I feel the time crunch is waiting on no one.
Oh, wait, THE ELF! How can I forget the Elf on the shelf, that continues to be the gift that keeps on giving…as we now have SIX elves…I will explain that fiasco in another Blogmas post. Nevertheless, I just want you to know that no matter what social media is showing you, it’s a busy time, and sometimes it's a big SHIT show!
I hope this Christmas list is helpful for you, and at least provides you with some ideas.
Oh…and if you are looking for a luxury gift guide…this ain’t that, but don’t worry because if that’s your palate it’s coming!
Men - Okay for some reason although men are simple, buying gifts feels complex. I asked my facebook men followers what are things they don't want, and OHH WEE...they were absolutely things that are under the tree every year. So, no socks, T-shirts, neckties, underwear, tools...you get where this is going.
Teens - I know money and gift cards are always the way to go, but I think gifts are always nice...at least one.
Women - Listen, this was a little bit of a struggle because I know we don't want Kitchen items, slippers, or another pair of pajamas, so I tried to think of things we would use and enjoy.
Kids - If your children are like mine, they really don't know what to want for Christmas. However, I created this list with my 6-year-old daughter and she seemed to like everything.
Now that I have given you a heads up...don't be like me last year and search for the items that "arrive by Christmas" on Amazon. LOL!!!
Happy Holidays!
